Aaron Davis Into The Spider Verse

Aaron Davis was the uncle of Miles Morales through his brother, Jeff. Aaron was also a masked criminal known every bit the Prowler who worked for the Kingpin and had gone upward against Spider-Man.

Biography

History

In their youth, Aaron and his blood brother Jeff were very shut and patently used to tag walls with graffiti. When Jeff started on the path to becoming a constabulary enforcer, he and Aaron drifted apart. Jeff went on to marry and have a child, Miles Morales, with whom Aaron developed a close bond with. Though estranged from Jeff, the boy visited him oftentimes and became like a second father effigy to him.

At one point, Aaron became the masked villain known as the Prowler and began working for New York's Kingpin as one of his enforcers.

On Miles' tertiary week at his new schoolhouse, Miles paid him a visit in his home. Opening with small talk, Aaron asked if he was having girl bug and gave him advice: the shoulder touch, which Miles found ridiculous (but tried anyhow the following day). Seeing that the boy needed a pick-me-upward, Aaron took him to an abandoned subway terminal beneath Brooklyn — one he knew of from accompanying Fisk to the Super-Collider — and encouraged him to tag the wall with his newest slice. Admiring the piece, Aaron encouraged the boy to go on going.

The following evening, after one of the Super-Collider'due south tests that ended in its temporary destruction, the Prowler, Kingpin, and Tombstone cornered an injured Spider-Human being who was then killed by the Kingpin himself. They heard and saw a male child fleeing the scene and Prowler gave hunt, under orders from Kingpin to kill him, stopped only when he got stuck in a car crash of their causing. Becoming occupied with hunting the witness, Aaron became unreachable to both Miles and Jeff, who, in a rare occurrence, called him to find out where Miles was.

Coming home the post-obit evening, Aaron felt a presence in his room and eventually realized that his target, the small male child from the night before, was in his apartment and was escaping. He followed him one time again but this time allowed some distance betwixt them, making the boy relax enough to call back he was no longer existence followed and then tracked him to the residuum of the Spider-People.

During the raid, their group tried to take hold of the goober; while the others were engaged in battle with the other Spider-People, Aaron followed the boy who was terminal spotted with the device and was about to kill him before he unmasked himself, revealing him to be Miles. Kingpin saw Aaron's hesitation and ordered him to kill the male child. Aaron silently refused and put Miles' mask back on. While stepping away, Fisk retaliated by shooting him. Miles swung away with Aaron'due south body and they were followed past his brother, Jeff. Just earlier he succumbed to his wounds, Aaron apologized to Miles for letting him downward and asked him to go along on his current path.

Jeff arrived just as he died and was left with the impression that Spider-Human being had killed him. Miles hid, and Jeff mourned over his body. Jeff later went to Miles and tried to apologize for his shortcomings, grieving over the fact that he and his brother had drifted apart and not wanting the same to happen to them. Later on, Spider-Human's name was cleared, and every bit Jeff and Miles tried to work on their relationship, Jeff helped Miles spray paint a memorial to Aaron at the police station.

Personality

As an uncle, Aaron was caring, laid-dorsum, and a good friend to Miles. Although he was estranged from his blood brother, the two brothers cared for each other.

As the Prowler, Aaron was terrifying and one of the most unsafe villains in New York. The Prowler was quick to grab up to and track his target. Commonly undeterrable one time he'd set his eyes on someone, after finding out that the new Spider-Man was his nephew, he refused to kill him. Aaron showed corking remorse in death for beingness a bad instance to his nephew and encouraged him to go along doing what was right.
